NT and Other Nutrition Professionals
Nutritional Therapists and Dietitians are experts in the use of food and nutrition to promote health and manage disease. They advise people on what to eat in order to support a healthy lifestyle or achieve a specific health-related goal
One distinct difference is that Nutritional Therapists don’t work in hospital settings and are not trained in critical care nutrition management
What will happen during a consultation?
As part of the consultation process, your Nutritional Therapist will go through your medical history and assess current health status. Your personal health concerns, needs and goals will be discussed and a personalised nutrition and lifestyle plan will be devised on this basis
How often will I see my Nutritional Therapist?
This very much depends on the health concern in question. At the very least, an initial consultation and one follow up consultation will be required, but each case is individual
How much does a session usually cost?
Appointment costs can vary from Nutritional Therapist to Nutritional Therapist, but are usually in the region of €75 to €150
Do Nutritional Therapists specialise in certain health conditions?
