Susi Lodola – Bio:
Susi Lodola holds a Higher Diploma in Psychology (level 8) and a BA (hons) in Linguistics, from UCD, a BA in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy from IICP College (Dublin), and is currently in her final year of an MSc in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy & Motivational Interviewing from WIT. She also holds a Professional Certificate in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, a Professional Certificate in Child and Adolescent Counselling and professional certificate in the therapeutic use of mindfulness. Susi has further deepened her knowledge on applying CBT to weight loss during a 2-day workshop on CBT for weight loss at the BECK INSTITUTE, Philadelphia in 2018.
Through extensive studies in Psychology, Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and her own incredible weight loss and fitness journey, Susi has a professional and personal interest in helping people achieve a healthy lifestyle and lose weight. She developed the MIND OVER BODY weight loss programme to help people stay motivated, deal with triggers, stop the inner voice that sabotages weight loss and put an end to emotional eating.
This programme and work shop are not intended to deal with eating disorders, it is intended to work with people who are struggling to lose weight and lack motivation, have to overcome emotional eating and learn various cognitive and behavioural skills to help them achieve sustainable weight loss. CBT has been identified by the NICE guidelines as an integral part of treating obesity alongside healthy nutrition and exercise.
For interested attendees there is also an opportunity to become members of the forthcoming MIND OVER BODY WEIGHT MANAGEMENT Network, which is going to be promoted in the media over the coming months.
